The marriage ceremony amongst the Sikhs is performed according
to the Anand act. of 1909. The
Lawan Phere are performed by taking
rounds of the Holy Granth to the chanting of hymns for the
occasion. The bridegroom and the bride are then required
to receive the Amrit .
